Before taking the ALCAT test, I was bloated and was carrying a lot of water weight. Try as I might, I couldn't lose any weight, no matter how stringently I dieted or how faithfully I exercised. I was extremely fatigued and would often take a nap after work. I never had a good night's sleep because my indigestion was so bad it would keep me awake for hours every night. My sinuses drained constantly. Both my eyelids twitched nearly constantly & my right eye wouldn't open all the way. My joints didn't work right and if I squatted down, I couldn't get up without help. I have none of those symptoms now, as long as I stay away from my reactive foods. Thank you so very much. I am attaching the pictures of me before & now. They were taken 7 months apart.

The most amazing thing happened to me just 24 hours after receiving my ALCAT results!
This feels funny to be sharing with total strangers, but here goes … I had diarrhea almost every day for 8-10 months. I had four visits with 2 Doctors, and they were as clueless as I was. The ALCAT results showed:
- A severe reaction to “Essiac” from the “Functional Foods and Medicinal Herbs Test”. What is Essiac, you ask? It includes Slippery Elm, which I took almost every day to “help me” with my problem. I doubled the dose over the last month, which made my problem much worse.
- A moderate intolerance to flaxseeds, which I was consuming every day, thinking they were making me healthier and helping my IBS!
- A severe intolerance to fennel, which was included in a few of my supplements (to help my stomach, ironically).
- A moderate intolerance to apples. I went on a wonderful candida cleanse, which I heartily recommend if you are not intolerant to any of the ingredients (from www.feelgoodfoods.com). Unfortunately for me, it includes apple pectin.
There might have been other foods as well on my intolerance list that were contributing to my problem. Can you imagine that the very next day this problem disappeared after close to a year?
Another cool thing? I’ve always had swelling and discomfort from wearing earrings. It turns out that I have a severe reaction to Nickel Sulfate (on the Chemicals and Molds list), which is found even in 24-carat studs. Now I understand! Also, I occasionally take something for a headache. Sometimes, my headache actually gets a lot worse after taking it. Now I know why … I have reactions to Acetaminophen and Naproxen (Aleve). As long as I stick to Aspirin or Ibuprofen, I’ll be fine.
It’s been only less than a week since I received my results. Already, my achiness has drastically reduced. I have high hopes!
